This backer rod is round and made of EPDM rubber material, with high flexibility. Simply use it to do what you want to do.

This caulk backer rod is flexible and soft. You can cut the size needed, put the backing rod into the desired space, press it well, and cover and smooth it with caulk. There are 5 different sizes available, which are 1", 1/2", 1/4", 3/4", and 3/8" in width, allowing you to choose the right style according to your actual needs.
